GPP patients can be misdiagnosed, or their diagnosis is delayed since they go to a non-specialized Health Care professional, e.g., to a General Practitioners or Emergency Room. Many symptoms of GPP are similar to those of other skin diseases, making it difficult to diagnose accurately, even for dermatologists.

The aim of the GPP Hackathon 2023 is to bring awareness to such a rare disease, while finding solutions to help find patients from all over the world being misdiagnosed and not getting the correct help they need.

Let's Find GPP Patients Around the Globe!

GPP patients are rare and can be in different disease phases. Some are only diagnosed after a significant duration due to misdiagnosis. Symptoms vary, with some experiencing severe flares, others having milder flares or residual symptoms, and some remaining flare-free for extended periods.
